Today we hosted our annual Summer Fun Day!
The weather was perfect, not too hot, but not cold either, and we were joined by so many members of our community!
The team were so grateful for everyone who came along.
Our event was officially opened by the wonderful Deputy Mayor of Test Valley, Iris Andersen, who welcomed everyone to the centre with warm wishes for a fun filled day. Children enjoyed bouncing on the bouncy castle, creating beautiful crafts and having their faces painted.
The BBQ was a hit, as was the bar and we were entertained throughout the afternoon by the fabulous vocals of Georgie Amelia and the brilliant young dancers from the Ruby slippers show school! Such cute, tiny little dancers!
Southern Water and Test Valley Environmental services came along to give advice on recycling, food waste and sewer blockage prevention. This was a wonderful addition to our event and really helps to boost our new environment responsibility project!
We also welcomed a number of stall holders selling gifts and yummy treats. Independent Councillor Thomas James also joined us to volunteer for the day, and had the task of announcing our tar prize winner for our Summer raffle!
A massive thank you to everyone involved, and everyone who took the time to join us. We had a great time and look forward to next year already!
